On March 7th, the Heydar Aliyev Palace will host the grand opening of the 5th International Festival ‘World of Mugham’, the press service of the palace reported. The event is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Composers and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
The concert program includes the Uzeyir Gadzhabeyli State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Honored Artist, conductor Fakhraddin Kerimov, the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments and the Kara Karayev State Chamber Orchestra . The soloists, Gyulaz Mammadova, Emil Afrasiyab, Firuz Sahavet, Afag Abbasova, Ilkin Akhmedov, Ryavana Gurbanova, Babek Shakirli and others will perform at the festival.
